The Differences between Human Hair and Synthetic Hair

Which is right for you? Synthetic hair and human hair extensions have advantages and limitations which make them the right choice at different times. Both are great choices for you depending on your budget, time, and needs. There are different qualities of human hair extensions available and, to put it bluntly, you get what you pay for. In other words, the less you pay for your extensions, the lower the quality.

 

Hair extensions made from human hair have many advantages. They can be heated (curled or straightened), coloured, styled, washed, and treated as you can with your natural hair. Human Hair offers the most natural look and feel. Human Hair can be cut and styled to suit your personal tastes. And while it can be a more expensive pick, with the proper care, it is also more durable and can last over a year.

 

Hair extensions made from synthetic hair do not last as long and are very sensitive to conditions such as sun exposure and moisture in the air. Synthetic are fake, basically like plastic. So you cannot straighten, blow dry, or curl them because they would just melt. There is no comparison between the two, we highly recommended you do not waste your time with synthetic sets if you care about your hair and your look.

1) BURN FOR SMELL AND ASHES

Choose a small strand of hair and burn it. If the hair is 100% human, it smells like a barbecue and the ashes can be twisted into powder; if not, it smells like plastic and the ashes will stay as a caking.

 

2) THE PRICE
That is very obvious: with the same style and length, Human hair wigs are much more expensive than synthetic ones. Therefore, If your human hair wig is relatively cheap, you may need to consider whether it's blended with synthetic fiber or the hair that collected to make this wig is not of a healthy quality.

3) THE ABILITY TO STAND HEAT

   

Use a flat iron to heat the hair. If the hair can be heated at 220 degrees without a paste, it is real human hair. Well, a small strand of hair is enough for the test.
